Do you want your kids to have a paw-some and purr-fect summer? Do you want to immerse them in the fascinating world of veterinary medicine and animal health?
At this Little Veterinarian Summer Camp, these future veterinarians will learn about the key responsibilities of veterinarians specializing in dog and cat medical care. They will be practicing how to perform dog and cat assessments by making a nose to tail exam. They will also learn about canine and feline health through proper animal nutrition and hydration, perform a wound assessment and practice some basic surgical skills, learn about common conditions in animals, how to remove ticks, learn about the immune system and vaccinations, practice administering medication, comprehend the types of animal body language, learn about the functions of an animal’s vital organ systems such as the heart, blood, digestive system, eyes and brain, read x-rays and more. These future veterinarian physicians and surgeons will be beaming with pride as they earn a Little Veterinarian School diploma on graduation day.
Do you want your kids to learn some necessary life skills such as the basics of how to perform CPR and Heimlich maneuver? Learn about medication safety and how medications work? Learn about basic human anatomy and physiology in a fun way and many more meaningful health-related activities this summer?
In this Little Doctors Summer Camp, students will have an unforgettable awesome summer exploring the exciting field of medicine with a complete mini medical school experience aligned with STEM-based curriculum objectives through hands on interactive instruction, role play, crafts and games. Children will have so much fun as they dress up like doctors, use real medical instruments, discover how the body works, learn about our human vital organs and function, practice suturing stitches, learn about necessary life skills such as CPR and Heimlich Maneuver, understand how medications work, be a health advocate and more. By participating in these role-playing experiences, Little Medical School® is inspiring tomorrow’s doctors today!
Conquer the great outdoors! Do you want your kids to learn about the exciting field of wilderness medicine? Learn about emergency situations in the wild, survive and learn how to prepare for disasters in the forest?
At Little Medical School – Wilderness Medicine Summer Camp, students will be immersed in vital emergency care in remote wilderness settings. Your little doctor will learn how to respond to emergency situations in the wild such snake bites, hypothermia and more. They will also get to practice how to tie a tourniquet and splint a broken leg. Students will also learn about survival in the great outdoors in an emergency such as learning about water safety and how to filter dirty water. These future emergency medics will also learn about mosquitoes and diseases and how to protect themselves from mosquito bites and other bugs. They will also learn about wilderness disasters that may occur such as forest fires and know what to do. Imagine the excitement when kids learn how to identify distress situations and practice creating their own distress signals in role-play.
